Alan Shields
President
Alan provides executive leadership over the PCO US offices and, with over 20 years of experience in outcomes research, he provides scientific, regulatory, and strategic input on projects focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient-reported and other outcomes assessment instruments.
Trained as a psychologist, Alan received his PhD from the University of Montana and completed his clinical training at McLean Hospital in the Harvard Medical School. Before transitioning into industry, Alan was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at East Tennessee State University, and still lives in Johnson City, TN. He remains an active contributor to the scientific community with 60+ peer reviewed publications and 125+ posters presented at various congresses.
