Stepping out for Sport Relief

This week, employees from Adelphi Values have joined forces with the other Adelphi Group companies based in the UK office, to raise funds and awareness for Sport Relief – a UK charity event from 21 – 23 March.

The team has been participating in the Adelphi Group ‘Step Out for Sport Relief’ challenge, going head-to-head with other Adelphi companies to see who can accumulate the most steps between 9am on Monday 17th March through to 5.30pm on Friday 21st March. Each company was given 3 pedometers at the beginning of the week, alternating them between their team members in order to try and rack up the most steps and win the competition. The week then ended with a ‘Sport Relief’ walk on Friday 21st March, where donations were collected and everyone who took part earned an extra 1000 steps for their team. At time of publishing, the Adelphi Values team had taken over 80,000 steps, but will it be enough to win?

Nina from Adelphi Values, who helped organise the team effort, said “It’s been fun to get involved in a little friendly competition between the other Adelphi companies, especially when it also means we can raise some money for a great charity!”

Sport Relief brings the UK together to get active, have fun and raise life-changing cash. The money raised is spent by Comic Relief to change lives across the world; helping underprivileged children into education, sheltering young homeless people and providing support to victims of domestic abuse – but it doesn’t end there – click here to find out more about how Sport Relief spends donated money.

Stepping out for Sport Relief is part of the Adelphi Group’s ongoing program of charity activities, supporting a combination of improving health and wellness, and the community.
