Senior Psychometrician
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior Psychometrician with a passion for applying their knowledge to support development, validation and interpretation of COA measures. You will have a Masters or PhD in Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology, Educational Measurement or a related field. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of advanced psychometric methods including factor analysis and item response theory/Rasch analysis and experience of performing analyses in statistical software (e.g. R, SAS, Stata, Mplus).
Previous experience of working in healthcare consultancy, regulatory requirements or academic groups would be desirable, but we are open to training the right candidate with transferable skills from other disciplines.
How you fit in
With your background in quantitative research you will join a vibrant team of psychometricians, statisticians and SAS programmers who partner with a broader team of qualitative researchers/COA measurement specialists. In an exciting and varied role you will review study design within protocols and statistical analysis plans, with responsibility for the scientific integrity of analyses as well as leading, performing and/or reviewing psychometric analyses and interpreting results. You will have the opportunity to line manage and/or mentor more junior psychometricians, if this is an area that interests you.
In your role you will serve as a psychometric consultant internally for the wider Adelphi Values research team and externally for our clients. You will help deliver internal training on relevant methodologies, ensuring the team are up to date with the latest developments. You will also be encouraged and supported to present work externally at conferences and via peer-reviewed publications. Opportunities to develop your knowledge through ongoing training and academic collaboration will also be provided. You will monitor developments in psychometric methodology relevant to the Patient-Centered Outcomes practice, and discuss the potential application of these developments to Adelphi Values’ projects with the team.
