Senior/Principal Psychometrician – Patient-Centered Outcomes
What we are looking for
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior or Principal Psychometrician with a passion for applying their knowledge to support development, validation and interpretation of COA measures. You will have a Masters or PhD in Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology, Educational Measurement or a related field. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of advanced psychometric methods including factor analysis and item response theory/Rasch analysis and experience of conducting analyses in statistical software (e.g. SAS, Stata, R, Mplus) and would typically have at least 3 or 4 years of experience in the field. Previous experience of performing psychometric evaluation of Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) instruments is essential along with knowledge of the regulatory requirements for PRO/Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) development. Strong communication and project management skills are required for the role, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and staff members and to lead in a multi-disciplinary team setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual who would relish in working in a fast-paced but fun environment.
How you fit in
With your background in psychometrics you will join a vibrant team of other psychometricians, statisticians and SAS programmers who partner with a broader team of qualitative researchers/COA measurement specialists. In an exciting and varied role you will be involved in study design, writing psychometric study protocols, writing Statistical Analysis Plans and working with the SAS programmers to prepare associated table shells. You will also be involved in providing and/or reviewing psychometric analyses, providing input to the interpretation of results and discussing with our clients. In your role you will serve as a psychometric consultant internally for the wider Adelphi Values research team and externally for our clients, including in regulatory interactions. It is expected you will be active in the field via conference presentations, methodological research and peer-reviewed publications. Opportunities to develop your knowledge through ongoing training and academic collaboration will also be available.
