Adelphi Values at ISPOR EU 2014, Amsterdam: What’s in store?
It is with great pleasure we write that, once again, Adelphi Values will be exhibiting at ISPOR EU, Amsterdam, 8-12th November. We have a number of exciting things in store, including:
- A podium presentation titled ‘Elicitation of health state utilities associated with varying severities of flare in systemic lupus erythematosus’
- Seven scientific poster presentations, across a variety of topics in collaboration with a number of our clients
- A workshop titled ‘Development, validation and use of observer-reported outcomes in clinical trials: Challenges and solutions’ delivered by Rob Arbuckle, Managing Director of Endpoint Development and Outcomes Assessment at Adelphi Values alongside Laurie Burke of the FDA and Donald Patrick of the University of Washington,
The workshop purpose is to provide valuable insights for those who wish to commission, conduct, review, or interpret studies using ObsRO measures.
With over 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and experience in a wide range of therapeutic areas with a particular interest in pediatric and gastrointestinal health outcomes, Rob has developed, validated and implemented numerous PRO, ClinRO and ObsRO measures.
His workshop will cover the use of ObsROs in regulatory submissions and technology assessment in Europe and the United States, along with a framework for developing/selecting ObsRO assessments and planning for their use in regulatory clinical trials. This presentation will be followed by two examples of development and application of ObsRO assessments for use in clinical trials: one in infants with cystic fibrosis and one in children/infants with restless legs syndrome, aiming to highlight pitfalls which may be encountered and possible solutions to the challenges. The floor will then be open for questions and comments.
We invite all outcomes researchers, policy makers, and other stakeholders that seek to learn more about ObsRO assessments to join us for what will be an interesting and thought provoking discussion.
